Balayage is a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. It is French and also means “sweeping” which is how we create the natural look. By sweeping the lightener up the hair shaft.

If you are looking for lighter lengths and ends but no lightness at your roots the balayage is perfect! Usually, a balayage is left in the open air with no foils. Organic Colour Systems‘ lightning powder is better when enclosed in a foil.
