For medium skin with olive undertones, warm golden brown color makes skin glow and look sun-kissed.  With fair skin, I suggest a chocolate base and the lighter pieces at the ends. This keeps the warmth away from the face.  Face-framing is good and I recommend keeping the warmth from contacting the face.

Being a few shades darker at the roots, with a gradual lightening, jazzes up this fun style!  Keeping the root retouch off the ends (add conditioner to block the color) allows us to keep the warmth.  This way, the lusciousness stays on the ends.  And we only do highlights every other or every third time.
