To lessen maintenance and in-salon time organic foils vs global coloring is a great way to go! The “foiling” technique gives coverage while not covering every single hair. Global coloring (aka base color or all-over color) covers every single hair. Another way to look at it is to ask yourself if you are okay seeing some of your natural color and/or grey. If you want to see absolutely no grey, you want to go with the global color technique. If you want to just blend grey, grow out your color, or just brighten your natural color, foils are the way to go.
