In honor of all the veterans, as well as the active service members, thank you for all you do.  You protect each and every one of us and this great country of ours

Memorial Day is an American holiday, which we observe on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Military.  Originally, this day was known as Decoration Day.  From 1868 to 1970, we observed this holiday on May 30th.  

While it also marks the unofficial start to Summer, graduation, or just the end of the school year, this day is a time to remember those who serve and protect.
