Today is Wednesday, August 30, 2023, and our hours for Hurricane Idalia will be limited until the coast is clear. I will be back in the salon on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11 a.m.

Unfortunately, this will be an inconvenience for some of you and I apologize. I live in West Ashley and made the decision early this morning to stay off the roads and bridges. With the 8:34 p.m. high tide, the blue supermoon, AND the hurricane, our area will be flooding. Be safe and do what is best for you and your family.

During the next couple of days, you can contact me at any time. I am here and scheduling appointments. My hours for Hurricane Idalia may be a little different but I am here for you.

Want some interesting tidbits? The August 30 blue moon, which peaks at 9:36 p.m. ET, will be “the closest, biggest, and brightest full supermoon of 2023,” according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac. It is also the only blue moon in 2023, making it extra special. The next time we will have a closer full moon in relation to Earth will be November 5, 2025. And the next blue supermoon is in 2037.
