As of March 19, 2020, I am announcing my salon closure due to Covid-19. This is a temporary and voluntary closure. I will speak directly with you in regard to appointments, gift card purchases or any other topic.
At the moment, South Carolina’s Governor McMaster has NOT mandated the closure of salons, spas, nail salons or tattoo parlors. All of these types of businesses work as closely as the medical field. I have contacted the governor’s office regarding this matter. To my understanding, many of my colleagues have also contacted the governor concerned about this. We are told to look for a public announcement but at this time, no decision has been made.
Until such time that the governor makes said mandate, this industry cannot ask/apply for any financial assistance or claim any hardship. I am being financially aware so that I can withstand this closure and reopen when it is safe.
So I am flattening the curve for myself, my co-workers and the people we come in direct contact with by staying at home.
While we cannot “work from home” we CAN get work done! I will be watching online classes, working to improve social media, and organizing my business needs. There are so many people and companies that are either waving or reducing their fees for online education. Thank you and I will definitely be taking advantage of this.
Pay it forward is also an interest of mine. As I go through regular daily activities, I look at how I can help others. Let’s support one another!
