Together we can be the change that our planet so desperately needs! Reduce, reuse, and recycle, meaning try to NOT use virgin materials wherever possible.
Sustainability is what we need to focus on. According to bcorportation.net “B Corps are driving change through a commitment to positive impact and continuous improvement”. Let’s all try to do a little better today than we did yesterday. If we do, our planet can be free of a lot of plastic waste.
Certified B Corporations
- Businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance
- Offer public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose
- Are on a mission to transform the role of business in society
Organic Colour Systems knows that it takes dedication and focus to create impactful change. The following are ways that OCS has been making efforts for over thirty years:
- We choose high-quality certified organic and natural ingredients over cheaper synthetics wherever possible. This reduces the use of pesticides and herbicides that damage insects and destroy our soils.
- Everything is made in the UK where a high standard of working conditions and fair wages are demanded. Also, we only deal with ethical suppliers for our ingredient and packaging requirements.
- Often aesthetic beauty is sacrificed for recycled and recyclable packaging. We still think we’re pretty good-looking.
- Never have we ever (nor will we ever) tested our products on animals. Keeping in mind, we do not supply to countries that do.
- We choose sustainable over readily attainable.
“With the pressures and fast pace of life these days it’s too easy to lose sight of your ‘why’ and get on a path you know isn’t right. I don’t ever want that for Herb UK”. This is from Founder and Managing Director of Organic Colour Systems, Raoul Perfitt.
