There is a way to enjoy highlights while having low-maintenance hair color. Meaning you have a “rooted” appearance and not every highlight is at the regrowth area.

Trends are leaning towards a “lived-in look” so that you can spend less time in the salon overall. This allows you to have roots before your color actually grows out. Read that again…you leave the salon with roots!  This is not for everyone and definitely takes some getting used to but if you have a super busy schedule, this may be just the thing for you!

With all the techniques out there, low-maintenance hair color can be achieved in a multitude of ways. It really depends on the look you want and where we are starting. It could take more than one salon visit to get the desired results but we feel this gives you time to get accustomed to the new look.

We exclusively use Organic Colour Systems for all of our coloring. This is exactly that…a System. So we start with shampooing the hair to open the cuticle (because we have no ammonia). Next, we do a Wet Stretch Test which literally shows us what your hair is lacking. Then we proceed with the appropriate cream treatment and along with the color.
